1. Person in charge of personal information

Patrick Lee, President, is the person in charge of the protection of personal information at Capital Central. You can reach him at patrick@capitalcentral.ai or 514-503-2990 with any question or request about your personal information.

2. Information we collect

We only collect the information we need. Depending on how you use the website, this may include:

• Financing request form: your name, email address, phone number and company name, information about your business and project (such as years in operation, annual revenue, and the type and amount of financing you are looking for) and how you heard about us.
• Call booking: your name, email address and the time slot you choose.
• Email: your email address and the content of your message when you write to us.
• Technical data: like any website, our host automatically records basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) to operate and secure the site.

3. Cookies, tracking and the calculators

The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, tracking pixels or profiling tools, and it uses no technology that identifies, locates or profiles you.

The calculators run entirely in your browser: the figures you enter are not sent to us. The business acquisition calculator remembers your last entries in your browser’s local storage, on your device only; you can erase them by clearing your browser data.

The financing request form and the call booking page are hosted by Typeform and Calendly, which have their own privacy policies and may use cookies on their pages.

4. Why we use your information

We use your information to:

• respond to your request and assess how we can help you with your financing;
• schedule calls and follow up with you about your request and our services;
• operate, secure and improve the website;
• meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law allows it.

5. Consent

By submitting the form, booking a call or writing to us, you consent to the collection and use of your information for the purposes described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to patrick@capitalcentral.ai; we will then stop contacting you.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• with the service providers that run the website and our tools on our behalf: Netlify (website hosting), Typeform (financing request form), Calendly (call booking) and Microsoft 365 (email and document storage). They may use your information only to provide their services to us;
• with lenders or other financial institutions, only with your consent, if you entrust us with a financing mandate;
• when the law requires or allows it.

7. Information stored outside Quebec

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States and the European Union. Your information may therefore be subject to the laws of those places. We choose recognized providers that commit to protecting the information they handle for us.

8. Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires. We then destroy or anonymize it. You can ask us at any time to delete your information.

9. Security

We take reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to the website, access limited to the people who need it, and accounts protected by two-factor authentication. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned, as the law requires.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
• obtain the computerized information you provided to us in a commonly used technological format;
• withdraw your consent and ask us to stop using your information or to delete it.

Send your request in writing to patrick@capitalcentral.ai. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the version in effect. If we make important changes, we will post them on this page.
